Olympiacos Sorted - Onto erm...... Gulp

United overturned the 2-0 loss to Olympiacos with a terrific 3-0 win tonight at Old Trafford, winning the tie 3-2 on aggregate.

There were terrific performances all over the pitch from the Red Devils, a few standout from the rest, namely David De Gea with several world-class saves, Rooney and RVP linking up well looking like the partnership we witnessed last season, Welbeck with his pace on the wing constantly turning the greek defence around, along with Valencia who through an early challenge played most of the match with one eye closed, was a constant outlet.

The player head and shoulders above all the others though was Giggs, Utd had a player in the centre who looked to play a killer pass whenever possible, head up looking forwards, beating players, it's what we've missed for most if the season.

It does show that if we can get that marquee player in the centre, the likes of Kroos who's been linked so many times, then we can compete and play attractive attacking football again.

After the thrilling game tonight, I quickly realised that we now face a daunting last 8 tie with some top teams. If we really have turned a corner then we can look hopefully at the draw on Friday, however if it's another 'flash in the pan' like so many times then the ecstacy of tonight will quickly turn to dread of a possible cricket score.
