Keane - What Utd are missing

With all Utd's current problems, it's clear one area we need to address, that leader and warrior in the middle of the park. Maybe Fellaini can step up, he's not had a good start to his Utd carear due to injuries and faltering players around him, but that has to change.

Cleverley - is he really that bad? Is it simply a poor Utd team

There's been a lot of talk about what Cleverley brings to the team, here's a comparison from the guys at Squawka, taking stats from this season and pitting him against 4 other English midfielders.

Utd Stats from the Champions League game

Whilst some of the stats what you'd want and expect to see from the game, like possesion - the graphic shows we did very little with the ball.

No creativity, no pace, too many sidewards and backwards passes highlight the shortfalls of our game.
Whilst the defence has been shocking at times, the mildfield I believe has to take some responsibility for that, offering no protection to the back four.

You need to question what they actually bringing to the game at the moment, CM's offering no defensive cover, no fluidity, no decisive passes to unlock opposition defences. Winger's are a similar story, not tracking back to help fullbacks and irrational decisions when it comes to the final ball,  last night only completing 3 from 19 attempts.

Many fans are asking if its the manager or the players, sadly it is both in my opinion!

Moyes speaks out after our 'worst performance'

David Moyes admits Manchester United’s performance in Tuesday night’s shock first-leg defeat to Olympiacos was “really poor” – but is determined to make amends when the sides meet again at Old Trafford on 19 March.

Moyes on the importance of Rooney & RVP

New Rooney contract structure revolutionary

Rooney's new contract could change the way players wages are paid, or even who pays them.

Manchester United a part of the new deal will actually seek commercial deals for Rooney to boost his 'basic' wage.

If correct this seems a win-win situation for both club and player, United retain their talisman for anextra 4 years and the Rooney brand gets pushed higher and further.

Vidic Comfirms He's Leaving

Nemanja Vidic has confirmed he will leave Manchester United at the end of the 2013/14 season.

The defender said: “It’s the last year of my contract and I have had eight wonderful years here. My time at this great club will always rank as the best years of my career. I never could have imagined winning 15 trophies and I will certainly never forget that fantastic night in Moscow, memories that will live with me and the fans forever.

"However, I have decided that I will move on at the end of this season. I want to challenge myself again and try to make the best of myself in the coming years.

"I’m not considering staying in England as the only club I ever wanted to play for here is Manchester United and I was lucky enough to be part of this club for so many years. I’ve got a few options to move on and I will choose the right one for me and for my family.

"I am now going to focus all my efforts on playing for Manchester United and do the best I can for the team until the end of the season. I hope this stops any further speculation about my future."
