Like every United Treble winner, Andrew Cole remembers one game against Bayern Munich above all others.
It was on May 26, 1999 - a day etched deep in every Red brain - the day the Treble was won with Champions League final victory over tonight’s opponents, Bayern Munich.
“There was a lot of anticipation and media coverage, yet even though it was a huge match, the mood was almost like the preparation for some third-round Milk Cup tie at a Division Three club,” recalled striker Cole, who still lives in Manchester with his family including son Devante, who plays at City.
